PAKVAAN


 

INGREDIENTS:

500 grams all-purpose flour,      50 grams powder sugar,

100 grams rice flour,      2 tbsp. cardamom powder

ghee.

 

preparation:

Shift all-purpose flour. Mix 50 grams ghee , powder sugar and cardamom powder and knead the flour to pur-like consistency. Cover with a wet cloth and leave for 1 hour. Knead the dough again till it is smooth. Divide it into equal parts. Roll out 7 rotis.

 

Mix 50 grams ghee with 50 grams rice flour. Mix for 15 minutes. take one roti and apply the paste, overlap with another roti and apply the paste. Repeat till all the seven rotis are used. Make into a roll. Cut the roll into pieces. Press each piece and make small puries with a little rice flour.

 

Melt ghee in a frying pan and fry all the pakvaans.
