FRIED CHEVADA


 

INGREDIENTS:

500 grams parched rice,      100 grams groundnut,

100 grams chutney dalia,      50 grams dry coconut,

50 grams raisins,      50 grams cashew nut,

25 grams almond,      curry leaves, 2-tsp.

turmeric powder,      4 tsp. chilly powder,

 1/2-tsp. citric acid,       5-6 tsp. sugar,

salt ,      2-tsp. fennel seeds,

1 tbsp. cumin seeds,      2 tbsp. garam masala,

oil for frying.

 

PREPARATION:

Heat oil in a frying pan. When fumes come out of the oil add parched rice and remove at once. Fry all the parched rice. Now in the remaining oil add groundnut, stir for 5 minutes and add chop coconut and stir for 3 minutes and add dalia. Mix half cut almonds, pieces of cashew nut and raisins and stir till all roasted properly.

 

In another pot take 2 tbsp. oil and add fennel seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and mix all other ingredients. Stir for 5 minutes and remove.

 

Take a news paper and put all the ingredients and spread. Mix salt, garam masala, turmeric powder, chilly powder and sugar. Mix well and leave it to cool. When cool fill in a steel container.
